We had the Faris team repair our long-neglected driveway and property, which were suffering from drainage issues. John and Andrew listened to what we wanted and had some great ideas for the project. Professional and great folks to deal with.

We had Faris Excavating Ltd put a retaining wall on our property. It looks fantastic and we want to thank John and Andrew so much for the timely and perfect job they did. If the stone did not look as good as they felt it should they would move it and replace it with another to meet the standards that they operate by. Thanks to Faris Excavating for a job well done. John and Andrew were efficient, thorough, and careful. They responded quickly to our need for a repair to our basement wall and finished in a timely manner. A recommendation for their services came from our next door neighbour for whom they had done a similar job last year.

We have used Faris Excavating on many occasions. The wood patio around the back was rotting and needed to be replaced. We decided that we were not replacing with wood and needed a 70' x 50' area dug out to put in stone. Another project was to install Solar Panels, again Fais Excavating was in and dug a trench 300' plus from the road to the site location. Our last project we wanted to get hydro to our shed, Faris Excavating was in and dug a trench 120' from our house to the shed. Each time we have needed a job done, there has only been one company's name that has come to mind. Faris Excavating's' workmanship has been superior to other companies we have tried. Their customer service and reliability is topnotch. All the work has been done on a timely basis, in a professional manner. If they could see a better and least costly manner to complete the task, the would recommend it. They give a quote prior to starting and stick to it. We would highly recommend Faris Excavating. In the fall of 2014 I contracted Faris Mini Excavating to completely excavate the perimeter of my home, remove and replace the entire weeper system to code, repair/seal any cracks, apply a sealer and water drainage membrance to the entire area and restore the excavation. The project was completed in the very timely fashion with attention to detail including protecting the remaining landscape and working safely around other utilities such as gas, Bell, water and cable TV. The project was a proven success noted by completely dry basement during an extremely wet spring thaw in 2015. I would recommend Faris Mini Excavating for any similar projec

I heard about Faris Excavating through the grapevine as being a very good swimming pool excavator. When I bought a fix-me-upper, I asked John for a quote on removing and old asphalt driveway and a variety of concrete sidewalks, steps and planters around the house. I also asked him to dig around the basement of an old extension to the back of the house because I wanted to waterproof it. Well, here is what I got:- A personal visit by John and his son, Andrew, the same day as my call
- A quote which included waterproofing, and a quote which excluded waterproofing (I wasn't aware they did the actual waterproofing work)
- A very reasonable start date
- A willingness to start sooner if I asked
- A very reasonable price considering the work that had to be done
- A willingness to work in some of the hottest days of the summer
- Attention to detail. We walked around the whole yard together, going through what stayed and what had to be removed. And they got it right.
- They took care of the utility locates
- They were very very careful not to touch the trees or the house
- A dry basement
- A whole new yard, covered with fresh topsoil, complete with grading and swales for drainage, ready for landscaping and sod.

The big bonus for me was the pleasure of seeing John and Andrew enjoy the work and enjoy each other's company for the duration of the project. It was a big job and took a number of days to complete, but I was sorry to see them go because I made some friends. I would recommend them to anyone.

I don't want to miss this opportunity to thank you for a performance which was beyond our wildest expectations.Having lived at this location for nearly 40 years we had more than one maintenance activity on our driveway, some 1300 hundred feet and quite complex.
